Application Notes
This application note describes how PIPETMAX® with qPCR Assistant is a highly proficient pipetting workstation that reduces the potential for cross-contamination and other human induced errors.
In this study, functional RNA was quantitated by RT-qPCR using the GoTaq® Probe 1-Step RT-qPCR System after two different extraction methods. To enhance the pipetting accuracy and consistency, PIPETMAX was used to reduce pipetting errors inherent in manual methods.
Integrating automated liquid handling systems, like PIPETMAX®, into your RT-qPCR workflows for detecting SARS-CoV-2 can help remove the risk of manual errors in sample transfers.
In this study, functional corn RNA was quantitated by RT-qPCR using the GoTaq® Probe 1-Step RT-qPCR System after two different extraction methods. To enhance the pipetting accuracy and consistency an automated pipetting assistant, PIPETMAX was used to reduce pipetting errors inherent in manual methods.
Normalization of the concentration of nucleic acid samples is a crucial yet tedious process that requires constant readjustment of the volume of the pipetting device. PIPETMAX® Normalization Assistant automates this process: calculations are carried out by the software, eliminating arithmetic errors, and pipetting volumes are adjusted automatically - learn more in this app note.
Solid phase reversible immobilization (SPRI) beads are commonly used to clean up polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA samples for downstream applications, such as sequencing and cloning. This application note demonstrates a flexible and reliable automated procedure for next-generation sequencing (NGS) library cleanup.
Reagents used in qPCR master mixes, including buffers, surfactants, and detergents, can negatively influence accuracy and precision, thereby increasing sample variability and decreasing data reliability. In this app note, we used PIPETMAX® to test whether the number of times a tip was pre-wet before transferring master mix affected qPCR performance.
Quantitative real time PCR, often coupled with reverse transcription, is a very sensitive technique that can be used for many applications including gene expression analysis. PIPETMAX Normalization Assistant delivers an easy-to-use software and hardware solution to automate normalization of sample concentration without compromising RNA integrity.
Gene expression studies are often used to gain insight into complex interactions between organisms, including those between plants and viruses. Real-time PCR (qPCR) is a tool frequently used in these studies given its wide dynamic range, sensitivity, and ease of automation. Learn how PIPETMAX can be used to automate qPCR sample prep in this informative app note.
